• Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

    That I've got good taste.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone who's been in the car has commented on the level of comfort and refinement.

Would you buy this car again and why?

    Yes, it suits my needs.

What are you likely to buy next?

I'm hoping to keep this one for several years. I looked at several cars before buying the V60, including a Skoda Superb, Lexus GS and Jaguar XF. All would have done the job, but the Volvo won hands down when it came to value for money.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £16,500

When did you buy the car?

    February 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got a good deal, probably because it had been in stock for a while.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

High spec, low mileage, and great value for money.

    What was the dealer like?

Not good, considering it was a main dealer and I knew more about the car than the salesperson. Part of the deal was to have front and rear cameras fitted, but when I picked the car up, the front camera had been fitted, but not the rear.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

It's a smooth, comfortable and relaxed cruiser at motorway speeds. However, at low speeds on uneven roads it can sometimes feel a bit fidgety. This is probably due to the low profile tyres with stiff XL sidewalls.

    What's it like to park?

With cameras and parking sensors fitted, parking isn't a problem.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Nothing

What's most practical about your car?

The load space. I've owned Volvo saloons in the past and found the boot opening can be restrictive, so the V60s opening tailgate is a godsend. It's more of a hatchback than an estate, but if I'd wanted an estate, I'd have bought a V70.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Too many to list. I love my gadgets and this car is fully loaded. I make good use of the voice activated sat nav and bluetooth. The sunroof is great in the summer. The USB and iPod connectivity are great features because I can have all my music with me in the car.
