Should you buy an Aston Martin Vantage Roadster?

When it comes to making a buying decision on the Vantage Roadster, it’s chief rival – the Porsche 911 Cabriolet – would, logically, be the superior choice as it’s the better all-rounder. It has a nicer cabin, more tech, greater practicality and a better gearbox. However, it’s unlikely that those spending £100k+ on a convertible sportscar will let their head rule their heart and with this in mind, the Aston Martin is the more special and exciting choice.

The engine is a fabulous mix of speed and character, the chassis brilliantly judged and the overall driveability of the car deeply impressive. Granted, the same can be said for the Coupe, yet taking the roof off for the Roadster merely adds to these highlights and makes the faults that bit less noticeable.
