Fiat has reintroduced its £1,500 E-Grant on the fully electric 500e, 600e, Abarth 500e and Abarth 600e, offering UK retail buyers a discount on new EVs ordered between 1 August and 30 September 2025. This sits on top of existing offers, such as 0% APR PCP finance on the 500e, and is available through authorised Fiat retailers nationwide.
Originally launched in June 2023, the Fiat E-Grant was the first manufacturer-backed electric car grant introduced in the UK after the government pulled the plug on its own EV incentives. Its return reflects the brand’s continued push to make electric driving more accessible and coincide with the roll-out of the government’s electric car grant (ECG).
All four cars covered by the grant are already available with competitive finance and retail deals, and the E-Grant applies to the on-the-road prices of each. That means the Fiat 500e now starts from £25,035, the 600e from £30,035, the Abarth 500e from £29,985 and the Abarth 600e from £36,985. These deals are listed on our page covering all discounted electric cars.
Giuseppe Cava, FIAT UK Managing Director, said: ‘FIAT is fully committed to making electrified driving more accessible and by reintroducing our E-Grant for our fully electric models on Fiat and Abarth, we are trying to support customers in their transition to fully electric driving.’
What this means for you
If you’re looking for a small electric car or compact electric SUV, this renewed grant could save you £1,500 off the list price – and that’s before any retail discounts or finance deals. Fiat’s move means you’re not waiting around for a government incentive that may or may not materialise.
The 500e remains one of the most stylish, compact EVs on the market, with the 600e offering more space and range. The Abarth versions bring a sporty edge, with the 600e delivering seriously brisk performance for a small EV.
Even better, Fiat’s offer covers the models most people actually want – city EVs with decent range, sensible running costs and the backing of a large dealer network. It’s a timely move as new car buyers weigh up EV options for the second half of 2025.
Editor’s view: Always good getting some cash off
Fiat seems to be offering a proper, no-strings-attached discount on a set of electric cars that real people can actually afford. With the government ECG list of discounted cars due next week, it’s good to see Fiat getting ahead of the game.
Fiat’s range of electric models has improved hugely over the past few years. The 500e is still one of my favourites despite some brilliant newer rivals, and the Abarth 600e is still an absolute riot. Just the thing for someone who wants EV zip without giving up their love of driving.
And let’s not forget, these are all-electric cars from a brand with proper heritage. The original Fiat 500 changed the world. This E-Grant might not be quite so revolutionary, but in today’s market, £1,500 off the price of a new EV is definitely better than a kick in the teeth.
