Safety specification includes driver, passenger and side airbags although there is no crash test result and stability control isn’t available. Security is covered by central locking and a Thatcham approved immobiliser.

Thanks to a decent sized estate boot, the Lacetti Station Wagon is a practical family car with 400 litres of luggage space with the rear seats in place. However this is some way behind the size of the likes of the Ford Focus estate. Folding down the rear seats increases this to 1,410 litres and also allows you to carry longer items. A vertical luggage net, cover and boot floor net are all standard, as are roof rails and a chilled glove box.
