The C8 hasn’t been tested by Euro NCAP, but the identical Peugeot 807 received a maximum five-stars for adult occupant crash safety. All three rows of seats have crash protection thanks to six airbags as standard and SX models and above have electric sliding doors that can be opened from the key fob. Deadlocks, marked parts and window etching should deter thieves.
Seven people can travel in comfort thanks to the individual seats, however, the seats are heavy, awkward to remove and difficult to store. Most newer people carriers have fold-flat seating systems, eliminating the need to remove bulky chairs, while still giving you a practical vehicle. But once removed, there’s a huge amount of space and the C8 is up to any task from lugging from lengths of timber to a transporting a fridge freezer.
Although with all seven in place, there’s a very limited amount of luggage space. The cabin has plenty of stowage and in the front there’s a large glovebox, two pop-up dash cubbies and large door bins.
