All models come with ABS and twin front airbags, plus remote central locking, rear wash/wipe and front fog lamps. Turbo models also had an alarm, which later became standard on every model.

Thanks to a decent-sized boot and a large opening, the Coupe can carry a surprising amount of luggage or shopping and the L-shaped boot means access is easy. There’s not much storage up front though with narrow door pockets, a small glovebox and hardly any cubby holes. The turning circle is poor too, which makes it tricky to manoeuvre in town.
