Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 34 - 47 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

The Focus Coupé Cabriolet is priced competitively against similar alternatives like the Vauxhall Astra TwinTop, and offers a good level of equipment for the money. It should also retain nearly half its value from new after three years. Insurance groups are also similar to other models in this class, at group 8 for the 1.6 and 11 for 2.0-litre models.

The Focus CC scores well on the eco front with the 2.0 TDCi the greenest engine. It emits 156g/km of CO2 and can manage 48mpg.

Early reports on the latest Focus shows it to be a generally reliable car with few problems. There have, however, been problems reported from owners – especially on early cars – with roof leaks.
