Ford Focus RS boot space, practicality and safety

2002 - 2003 (change model)
Practicality rating: 3.5 out of 53.5

Twin airbags and ABS brakes are fitted. It gained a respectable four star Euro NCAP crash test rating. Strong deadlocks make it secure and the bonnet needs the key to open it. An alarm is also standard, but many will have additional security fitted to keep insurance companies happy.

The rear suspension tucks away nicely, without large wheelarches intruding in the boot, so there’s plenty of room for a couple of suitcases. The boot opening is wide and the sill low, so it’s easy to load. Lots of bins/cubby holes for all your odds and ends too. Interior feels light and airy.
