Based on the previous generation Ford Fiesta, the 2002 Ford Fusion was in effect a tall, five-door only Fiesta offered until 2012. This extra height, while it did no favours for the car’s looks, did endow it with some extra practicality. If you were looking for a small Ford to carry four adults and some luggage with regularity, then the Fusion was the perfect solution.
With the seats in place the Fusion’s boot can hold 337 litres of luggage in fact, and with the 60/40 split rear bench folded flat that number increases to over 1,000 litres. A flat-folding front passenger seat means that despite its relatively diminutive 4-metre length, the Fusion can carry exceptionally long loads too.
