Simple dashboard layout comes from the Civic hatchback – known for its class-leading ergonomics. Dash-mounted gearlever looks strange, but is perfectly placed. Even the radio volume button is on the right-hand-side, to be closer to the driver. Easy to find a comfortable driving position.

1.7 and 2.0 engines are refined, but the cabin is not especially well insulated and can be irritating at speed. Wind and road noise are both evident.
