The chassis is based on the 1995 Lantra. There’s no Euro NCAP rating, but the structure lacks the solidity of current models. Only a driver’s airbag is fitted and ABS isn’t fitted to all models. Security isn’t great. There’s an alarm and immobiliser, but even the least proficient car thieves could beat both. The locks aren’t strong, either.

The boot is surprisingly large, has a wide opening and the tailgate lifts high. Boot is large enough to transport a variety of loads, from the weekly shop to medium-sized boxes. No-one should find the space inadequate. There’s a also a large glovebox and places for your coins and oddments.
