Hyundai Veloster Hatchback (2012 - 2014) practicality
Euro NCAP awarded the Veloster five stars making it one of the safest coupes on the road. It’s equipped with six airbags, active front head restraints, ABS, ESP, locking wheel nuts, ISOFIX child seat anchorage points and an alarm and immobiliser.
The extra side door offers a little bit more practicality and it also gives the Veloster a talking point. Boot space is certainly not best in class but it’s not the worst. The Veloster boasts a luggage capacity of 320 litres and although this pips the Scirocco’s boot by 28 litres the Vauxhall Astra GTC has a load space of 380 litres and the Peugeot RCZ has 384 litres.
Rear visibility is hampered by the rear spoiler and thick B pillars.
