Earliest cars do without airbags and ABS (unless Limited spec or higher). Driver’s airbag became available in 1994 and passenger airbag in 1997. ABS standard on all cars after 1999.
Excellent off-road, if that’s what you need the Cherokee for. Also passes for a family car with reasonable luggage space and so-so rear-seat accommodation. Feels more compact than it looks when driving, so not intimidating to use around town.
