Kia Ceed Hatchback interior, tech and comfort

2012 - 2018 (change model)
Comfort rating: 3.5 out of 53.5

This second generation Ceed is much better than the previous version. The cabin is more driver focused, the interior plastics are soft to touch while the switchgear feels well-built. It is clear then that Kia is trying to lure VW Golf diehards with this new model. For those wanting style and good build quality the Ceed could be an attractive option.

Kia Ceed comfort levels are ok, road and tyre noise is minimal but comfort is compromised by quite a bit of wind noise. The cabin is a pleasant place in which to sit. The seats are fairly comfortable but, like the previous generation, side and lumbar supports could be better. Thanks to the extra length there is more legroom (up by 21mm) and headroom (+12mm) making sitting in the rear of the car perfectly acceptable for adults.
