Kia EV6 GT verdict

2025 onwards (change model)
Parkers overall rating: 4 out of 54.0

The 2025-onwards Kia EV6 GT is more powerful. It goes further per charge. It has a sensibly revised interior that offers clear benefits. The infotainment is better. You have more ways of interacting enthusiastically with the car. It costs less. Truly, few facelifts are ever such comprehensive improvements, especially when the starting product was already such a good one. It’s a great electric car.

What we like

We love that Kia has made the effort to add greater character to the EV6 GT’s driving experience by including the new VGS system and improving the available comfort. The mix of physical and digital controls inside work well, and it remains spacious, practical, and very, very fast. To get such a tangibly upgraded electric car for less money than before is a superb result for everyone.

What we don’t like

It’s all small details that perhaps say more about us than the Kia. We would have liked more artificial engine noise (even the loudest of the four settings is too quiet) and feel the VGS could be even more effective here if it was closer to the version deployed by the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. But we understand and applaud the intended differentiation in character between the two cars, and strongly suspect the more relaxed EV6 GT will be easier to live with longer-term.
