The Mazda6 has a great driving position with excellent seat and steering adjustment available, while visibility is generally very good. Cabin materials felt upmarket in 2002 when the Mazda6 was launched and a range refresh in 2005 smartened the interior further to ensure the Mazda remains competitive with rivals for interior quality.

One of the roomiest cars in its class, all Mazda6 cars will seat five adults. Air conditioning is standard across the range, as well as electric windows. The Mazda6 rides quite firmly with bumps in the road surface more noticeable than in a Mondeo, for example, but it will not cause a problem for most people.
