Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate boot space, practicality and safety
1996 - 2001
(change model)
All get ABS and a driver airbag and the passenger gets one from ’95 onwards. Side bags were fitted from ’97 onwards. The body didn’t perform tremendously well in crash tests only scoring two out of four.
The estate gives a welcome boost to the practicality of the C-Class, although it isn’t as massive as its big brother E-Class. Seats split/fold and roof bars are standard.
