Mercedes-Benz CLC Coupe (2008 - 2010) boot space, practicality and safety
The CLC hasn’t been crash tested by Euro NCAP but Mercedes-Benz has an excellent track-record for building safe cars. The previous model scored a maximum five stars, which is an indication of CLC’s crash credentials. Safety equipment includes six airbags, acceleration skid control and ESP.
The three-door only CLC isn’t very family-friendly and parents may struggle to secure child seats without climbing into the rear. The slim door bins can’t hold much more than a pocket-sized map or a wallet and mobile phone, though the footwell luggage net is useful for quick access. The lined glovebox is a thoughtful touch – preventing belongings from rattling around – and the centre console offers plenty of storage.
Boot space is ample and in-line with rivals.
