MG ZS Hatchback boot space, practicality and safety

2004 - 2005 (change model)
Practicality rating: 3.5 out of 53.5

Written by Parkers Published: 6 June 2019 Updated: 6 June 2019

Front and side airbags are fitted for driver and passenger, along with ABS although there is no traction control system. All models get an alarm and immobiliser and a central locking system that locks the doors the moment the driver moves off. The doors cannot then be opened unless the engine is switched off, or the central locking override on the dash is pressed although it does unlock automatically in an accident.

Hatchback is more practical than the saloon and with its wide tailgate opening, it’s able to carry some quite large loads. Seats split/fold for extra space, although they do not fold truly flat.
