Keyless entry aids security (in theory) and there are eight or ten airbags depending on whether you buy the five or three door car. Awarded a five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash tests. Safety is the Megane’s biggest strength.
Large boot is impressive and there are useful storage areas, such as a large air-conditioned glovebox and sunglasses holder.
