With it’s elevated driving position, the Toledo gives a commanding view of the road, although the thick front pillars do obstruct the view when turning in certain situations. The dash design is suitably sporty with a chunky steering wheel helping to contribute to the impression that this is more than just a family work-horse. A particularly neat design touch are wiper blades that locate in the pillars rather than at the base of the screen.

There is plenty of space for up to five people. The seats offer a good range of adjustment for those in the front and they are heavily bolstered so offer plenty of support, although they are also quite firm, which may make them unforgiving for overly large occupants.
