Suzuki Jimny Estate (1998 - 2018) practicality
Suzuki Jimny safety is a bit of an unknown quantity. The Jimny hasn't been tested by Euro NCAP, but it's an old design and not expected to achieve the same results as current 4x4s. But standard driver and passenger airbags, plus ABS brakes and side impact protection beams give adequate protection. Engine immobiliser and steering lock are the extent of factory-fitted protection.
The interior is basic as one might expect in a practical vehicle, but rear legroom is tight and it only seats two. Practicality is also hampered by a tiny boot, although the rear two seats fold and tumble for extra space. Use it as a two-seater and it makes more sense - with the rear seat space for luggage.
