Very strong with crumple zones and side impact protection. Four stars for S70 (on which it’s based) in Euro NCAP crash test. ABS, driver’s and side airbags (optional passenger bag). Immobiliser, deadlocks, alarm, optional TRACKER satellite tracking system.
If you’ve opted for electric seats, you may find that they’re slow when it comes to accessing the rear. The boot is big, but the seats can’t be folded or tumbled, making it difficult to carry awkwardly shaped loads. There are a few cabin cubby bins for oddments.
