CONS
Less pleasant to drive V70
Volvo XC70 rivals
Closely related to the V70, but with fewer engine and trim options, the XC70 features an elevated ride height and permanent all-wheel drive system. It is given some further visual distinction by the addition of black bumpers, nose and wheel arches, although it certainly doesn’t look as chunky as a proper off-roader. Lacking serious all-terrain hardware the XC70’s off-road capability is relatively lacking, however it will certainly deal with muddy tracks and gymkhana car parks.
The downside is that it feels almost as uninspiring to drive as a full blown off-roader. It is more practical than a regular V70 though.
