They think it looks sensational.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Huge disappointment over the pre-facelift, despite improved looks. Harsher car all round and build quality is just terrible on a car of this price. A Mondeo is more tightly screwed together.
What are you likely to buy next?
BMW 5, Merc CLS, Audi A7.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Lousy deal, but they knew they had a very unusual spec, which is why I drove 220 miles to collect it.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Facelift model, looked fantastic in silver with black 20" Dracos and red leather interior. (**It's MY12 btw, - not yet on the Parker's drop down options!***).
What was the dealer like?
Very poor. Didn't make it in the slightest special. Car wasn't even well prepared - dirty wheels.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The new model is very different from the pre-facelift. The Sport has been firmed up, with adaptive damping. Very tight handling, but hard ride and engine harsher than the old version. Not as silky as it was.
What's it like to park?
Easy, with front and rear sensors, and rear camera.,.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Loud bump from rear when pulling away - diagnosed as "fuel tank slap". Mod carried out - partly cured. Alarm goes off randomly, Passenger side lock replaced, but it hasn't cured. Rattles all over the interior - terrible one from driver's door, which has been "cured" twice now.
What's most practical about your car?
47mpg on trip to Preston recently. Didn't have the folding rear seats fitted as standard like my previous XF, and cost me £240 to have retro installed.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Red leather interior and black wheels.
