Audi A3 RS3 Sportback boot space, practicality and safety

2011 - 2012 (change model)
Practicality rating: 4 out of 54.0

Written by Simon McBride Published: 6 June 2019 Updated: 6 June 2019

The RS3 is packed with electronic safety gadgets and is based on the A3 Sportback, which received four stars from the experts at EuroNCAP. It comes with driver, passenger and side airbags, stability control, Quattro all-wheel drive and ISOFIX child seat fittings.

The five-door bodystyle makes the RS3 one of the most practical hot hatches around. Four adults can sit comfortably and there are plenty of cubbies to keep loose change and mobile phones. Loadspace with the seats in place is 302 litres and this expands to 1,032 with the seats folded flat. That’s more than enough space to carry a couple of sets of golf clubs.
