Alfa Romeo EV Grant makes Junior Elettrica even more tempting

Alfa Romeo has launched a £1,500 EV Grant across its entire Junior Elettrica range, alongside 0% finance, a free charger and discounted servicing.

Written by Keith Adams Updated: 23 July 2025

Alfa Romeo has launched a new EV Grant that cuts £1,500 off the price of every Junior Elettrica model, including the 280hp Veloce. Available now, the deal stacks on top of other incentives such as 0% APR PCP finance, a free home charger and a discounted service plan.

It means the entry-level Junior Elettrica now starts from £32,405, with the flagship Veloce dropping to £40,805. The EV Grant is available to all private retail customers and applies across the Elettrica, Speciale, Intensa and Veloce trim levels.

Alfa Romeo says the offer is part of its commitment to making electric motoring more accessible. As the brand’s first all-electric model, the Junior combines compact dimensions, bold Italian styling and a choice of two powertrains with up to 280hp.

Alfa Romeo UK managing director Jules Tilstone said: ‘To underscore the commitment Alfa Romeo has in making electrification more accessible, we want to support customers with our EV Grant. Our entire fully electric Junior range is now more appealing than ever.’

What this means for you

This new EV Grant could be a genuine help if you’re considering a stylish electric car. Combined with 0% APR finance and a free home charger, it’s a tempting package for drivers ready to go electric.

The deal applies across the range, from the base Elettrica to the high-performance 280hp Veloce. That opens up more choice for drivers who want something a bit different to the usual EV suspects.

It also means you don’t need to rely on the Government’s new ECO-focused grant, which has been tricky to navigate and excludes many models. Here, the savings are guaranteed and available now.

Editor’s view: Every little helps

It’s good to see Alfa Romeo stepping up with a clear, no-nonsense offer that actually helps buyers, and on a car that you’d really want to buy. This kind of brand-led EV support is exactly what the market needs right now.

Crucially, this feels like a turning point. The cheaper Junior models are likely to qualify for the Government’s new EV grant anyway, but Alfa has gone for it anyway. It has also gone further by including the pricier Veloce – which sits just above the £37,000 threshold. That means buyers across the range can access meaningful savings.

It’s also the first major European carmaker to officially drop prices in response to the grant announcement – until now it’s been the Chinese only. That sends a signal to the rest of the industry: the EV price war is very much on, and buyers should expect more to come.
