Citroën Berlingo Estate (1998 - 2009) boot space, practicality and safety
Although crash protection is not particularly sophisticated – only the driver gets an airbag (passenger airbags are optional), it does have a four star Euro NCAP rating. Doesn’t feel secure on the motorway.
Interior is basic, but has plenty of head and legroom for four, or five at a push. Plenty of luggage space and you get van practicality when the rear seats are folded flat. For added practicality, go for one of the Flexispace options, with roof-shelves and extra cubby holes.
