This C5 is longer than the old car and the extra length has been used to improve crumple zones. As a result, its Euro NCAP crash test score as improved from four stars to the maximum five, and the highest numerical score for any car tested up to that point. ESP, ABS and brake assist are all standard, as is a feature that dries out wet brake pads for better braking efficiency.
There are seven standard airbags, including one that protects the driver’s knees.
Huge boot will swallow most loads and is easy to access. The seats fold and tumble for added room. Inside, there are numerous cubby bins (see picture gallery for details) and a large glovebox.
