Lacks the inventive use of space that the latest small cars have, but luggage space is adequate for the class. Rear seats split-fold but don’t move forward, so what you see is what you get.
Saxo’s old design is reflected by its relatively low Euro NCAP crash test score. It only received two stars in the test, and standard safety equipment wasn’t brilliant, either. Security was taken care of by a somewhat effective immobiliser, but, aside from a locking fuel filler cap, Saxo isn’t impenetrable and there are no deadlocks to keep thieves out.
