- New diesel IS with improved economy and emissions
- Updated exterior styling, interior changes and new equipment
- Pricing remains the same, available to order now at £24,350
The main change is the introduction of the IS 200d replacing the IS 220d. It has a new 148bhp version of the 2.2-litre diesel engine that comes with a six-speed manual gearbox. The revised engine emits 134g/km of CO2 (down from 148g/km) and returns 55.4mpg (up from 50.4mpg).
The IS 200d SE is on sale now at £24,350. The car sits in the 18% BIK band thanks to the improved economy (down from 18% on the previous engine), and so you'll pay £73.05 per month on the lower tax rate while higher tax rate payers will pay £146.10 per month.
The V6 petrol engine in the IS 250 and 250C has also been updated. Only available with a six-speed automatic, fuel economy has been improved to 33.6mpg while emissions have been lowered to 194g/km of CO2, and company car tax now sits in the 29% bracket. People in the lower tax bands will pay £120.69 per month and higher tax payers will pay £241.38 each month.
All models get HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, updated wheel designs, new rear lights and a revised choice of exterior colours.
The more expensive IS F-Sport now more closely resembles the performance IS F with a new deep front spoiler, built-in front fog lights, updated grille and a rear spoiler with integrated brake light. The F-Sport also comes with new 18-inch alloy wheels and revised interior trim including a new steering wheel, gear lever and pedals. The front seats are finished in leather and alcantara and a dark anthracite roof liner is fitted.
Changes to the specifications and options on the IS include improvements to the SE-I specification cars, including rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror, new leather uphoslstery and heated front seats. There are also some minor exterior updates, new 17-inch and 18-inch wheels and a new metallic blue colour.
The updated range of IS models will be previewed at the Paris Motor Show.
