Dacia Duster Estate verdict
2013 - 2018
(change model)
Should you buy a Mk1 Dacia Duster?
If you’re on a tight budget, you absolutely should. Some people may criticise the Dacia Duster for having a rough and ready interior, or for lacking in refinement, but all these trifling faults pale into insignificance when you learn you can pick one up for about £2,000.
But, even when you take price out of the equation, the Duster is a likeable, family-friendly SUV with bags of room, a competitive range of engines, proven reliability and good fuel consumption. The biggest downside we can see is its slightly poor Euro NCAP safety rating. If you’re prepared to look past that, though, you’ve got yourself a very good used car for very little money.
