What we like

The DS No.8 is a lovely thing to spend time in. It’s an electric car that looks good, feels expensive, and drives with real polish. The ride is superb, the one-pedal driving is faultless, and it offers more range for your money than pretty much anything else in its class. It’s genuinely different – and not in a gimmicky way.

What we don’t like

Rear space is average at best, and the badge still won’t convince the masses, and you can see many going straight to the Audi Q6 E-Tron Sportback without giving this a second glance. The infotainment system is a bit fiddly, and resale values are likely to be on the fragile side. You’ll need to go into this with your eyes open – but if you do, you’ll probably come out smiling.
