Honda Civic Hatchback boot space, practicality and safety

All models get a driver and passenger airbag and most have ABS brakes (not on 1.4 model except SE). It scored an average Euro NCAP crash test rating for its year. A decent immobiliser was fitted from 1996, but door locks were little protection.
Reasonable boot space although it’s not that deep, with good access thanks to a wide opening. Split folding rear seats allow larger items to be carried.
