Honda Prelude verdict

2025 onwards (change model)
Parkers overall rating: 3.5 out of 53.5

Written by Jake Groves Updated: 28 July 2025

What we like

The Prelude’s clean design aesthetic looks interesting out on the road, and its rather compact size will make it easy to live with and own. Its performance isn’t remotely intimidating, but it’s smooth to drive with neat body control and some satisfying steering. The interior also feels solid, too.

What we don’t like

From our brief drive, the Prelude doesn’t feel all that fast – proof that a hybrid powertrain from the Civic isn’t going to be that spine tingling. We also haven’t had a lot of time to gauge how useful the rear seats or boot space are yet, but we doubt they’ll be all that generous.
