Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 25 - 33 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

The Infiniti EX isn’t cheap, but offers an unrivalled premium ownership experience if you’re buying new. Petrol versions are thirsty and will be less popular on the used market and depreciate more heavily than diesel versions available from 2010, and will be more expensive to tax. In terms of maintenance Infiniti EX running costs are likely to be on a par with Porsche, but customers are offered a free pick up service within 150 miles of the nearest Infiniti dealership.

High-ish CO2 emissions from the V6 petrol engine do the Infiniti EX model’s green credentials no favours with an output of 265g/km of CO2. Economy is a below-average 25mpg. If you want to keep your Infiniti EX emissions down go for the diesel . It is a little easier on the conscience and will return a more acceptable 33.2mpg, with CO2 emissions slightly less than the petrol at 224g/km.

The products that went on sale in the UK had already been available in other markets for a year or two before, and in many cases use well proven components. Infiniti EX reliability should be exemplary.
