Mercedes-Benz M-Class AMG (2012 - 2015) practicality
You won’t have much to worry about regarding Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG safety. There’s a staggeringly long list of kit designed to keep driver, passengers and pedestrians out of hospital. The Driver Assistance Package is a worthwhile box to tick if you’re worried about safety – it includes laser-guided adaptive cruise control, active blind spot assist (which stops you crashing into cars in your blind spot), active lane-keeping assist (which stops you drifting out of your lane if you don’t indicate) and an automatic child seat recognition sensor.
There’s also ABS, stability control, skid control, hill start assist, ISOFIX child seat lashing points and the firm’s Pre-safe system – which spots potential collisions and readies systems such as seatbelt pre-tensioners.
As with the ‘normal’ M-Class, Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG practicality is pretty impressive. Not only will it seat five adults in comfort, but 690-litre boot will swallow a lot of luggage. If needs be the rear seats can be folded down too, meaning a colossal 2,010 litres of stowage space – something Mercedes is claiming as a new benchmark in its class.
