Large and comfortable front seats along with steering adjustable for reach and height ensure most people will find their ideal driving position quite easily. Although sleeker and more modern looking than most large saloons when it was launched the 607 is actually rather conventional, particularly when compared to more recent large French cars like the Renault Vel Satis and Citroen C6.

Someone used to driving a Peugeot 307 shouldn’t take long to feel at home behind the wheel of a 607.

The 607 is roomy enough for five adults, and comes with electronic climate control and electric windows. Early models have standard velour trim, but since 2005 Executive model feature standard leather trim with heated and electrically adjustable front seats, as well as a button that closes the boot lid automatically. The 607 offers a refined drive whether petrol or diesel with muted engine noise and low levels of tyre and wind noise.
