A plethora of Porsche 911 Turbo safety systems are available including Adaptive Cruise Control which automatically maintains a set distance from vehicles in front and also includes Porsche Active Safe.

Frontal airbags for the driver and front passenger are inflated partially in the event of a minor crash and fully in a more forceful collision. There are also two side airbags, head airbags in the door panels and thorax airbags in the seat bolsters.

A sophisticated stability control system together with the four-wheel drive work together to keep the car glued to the tarmac even in poor weather and the brakes are pretty impressive, too.

From 2016 post-collision braking system was added as standard, which applied the brakes following a crash to help avoid a secondary collision. A lane departure warning assistant was also added as an optional extra.

Between the front wheels is a deep bin that serves as a boot. You might fit a weekly shop for one person or a couple of overnight bags at a push.

Like the regular 911, the Turbo is a 2+2 and you can just about fit an adult behind the front passenger seat if they don’t mind their head constantly brushing the roof. Fitting a fourth passenger behind the driver’s seat is a bit trickier, though, and unsurprisingly the rear pews are best used for stowing luggage on rather than people.

There’s plenty of head- and leg-room up front though and Porsche 911 Turbo practicality compares very well with most other supercars. It’s not all that difficult to climb in and out and there are plenty of neat storage cubbies for small items in the cabin.
