Saab 9-3 Hatchback (1998 - 2002) practicality
Rated by Euro NCAP as a four-star car - very good for its age. There are airbags all round - driver, passenger and sides - while ABS brakes are standard and the middle rear seat passenger also gets a three point belt. Deadlocks ensure that the 9-3 is very difficult to break into. Engine immobilisers are standard across the range, but only the entry level models don’t have an alarm, or remote locking.
Huge boot that's easy to access. The hatch opens wide and it's quite low to the ground, which is good for loading. Large glovebox in the cabin, doorbins and a few cubbies.
