The Vauxhall Agila is a small five-door city car on sale from 2000 until 2013 here in the UK.
Based on the Suzuki Wagon R+, the Agila’s compact dimensions, light steering and tight turning circle made it an ideal choice for urban dwellers and was available with a choice of 1.0-litre or 1.2 litre petrol engines.
The second generation was unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show and was based on the Suzuki Splash. It was more spacious than before, offered excellent headroom for the segment and an impressive boot space that matched larger cars like the Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo.
Rivalling the likes of the Hyundai i10, Kia Picanto and Ford KA, the second-generation Agila came with a choice of two petrol engines like before, plus a new 1.3-litre diesel which was later dropped from the range due to poor sales.
