Vauxhall Antara (07-15) - rated 3 out of 5

After a four-year hiatus with no 4x4s in its range the Vauxhall Antara appeared in 2007, sharing much of its under-structure and mechanical components with the Chevrolet Captiva range.

Effectively a delayed replacement for the Vauxhall Frontera, the Korean-built Antara was much more car-like to drive than its predecessor and rivalled the likes of the Ford Kuga, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

Unlike the Captiva which was available with seven seats, the Vauxhall Antara is strictly a five-seater, offering a spacious, well-equipped cabin and a large boot.
