The seats in the VXR8 are supportive and well bolstered, but seem to be a size bigger than in other sporting saloons. Similarly the flat-bottomed steering wheel is big and chunky. The combination of gauges and instruments gives the driver all available information without the need to cycle through a menu like most cars. To add to the sporty feel there are three prominent gauges at the top of the dash for battery voltage, oil pressure and the oil temperature.

The cabin doesn't feel especially sophisticated, but the build quality is good and it's solid enough. The large rear spoiler does provide some rear view obstruction, but a reverse parking system with both visual and audible warnings means parking is not a problem.

Despite the sporty suspension, the VXR8's ride quality doesn't sacrifice comfort and delivers a reasonably good ride unless the road gets really bumpy. The rear seats are spacious enough for tall passengers to seat themselves in comfort with plenty of head and legroom. The powerful V8 arguably detracts from comfort by raising noise levels, but it's in keeping with the car's character and isn't too intrusive.
