Audi’s ergonomics are second to none. The cabin is airy and a perfect place to while away a long journey while the driving position offers enough adjustment to ensure that anyone can get comfortable. High quality materials, precision switches and clear instrument dials make it simple to get on with – although the stereo can be a little fiddly to use.

All the controls like the gearchange and clutch work with real precision. The Allroad lacks the elevated seating viewpoint of real off roaders but feels more sporty.

Thanks to comfortable but supportive seats the A6 makes long journeys a relaxing experience. Top spec models get sumptuous leather seats as standard while the performance S6 and RS6 variants have sports seats. On the move the smooth ride and lack of noise reflect the feeling of quality and refinement and the adaptive air suspension means comfort is superb.
