It may not be the most exciting of designs but the interior is superbly built and user-friendly. It echoes the A6 with similar switches and controls, but adds a luxurious edge with leather upholstery and wood trim. The controls are effortless to use and the light steering makes it easy to manoeuvre in town or park in tight spaces.

The interior is sumptuous enough for four adults to cross continents in sublime comfort. Supportive seats, plenty of head and leg room and dual-zone climate control make for a serene interior while the sumptuous leather gives a luxurious limousine feel. There’s no noticeable road or wind noise and the ride expertly soaks up lumps and bumps.
