Audi A8 Saloon (1994 - 2002) boot space, practicality and safety
Although the A8 was never crash tested the aluminium body offers a very high degree of structural integrity plus all cars have ABS and front airbags fitted as standard (from 1996 side airbags were also fitted). There are no deadlocks but all cars have a factory fitted immobiliser and alarm.
At more than five metres long the A8 is undoubtedly a huge car, but it can only really accommodate two people in the back, because of the shaping of the seats. The Mercedes S-Class offers more interior space. The boot is big though and can easily cope with several suitcases and a few overnight bags.
