Ford Fiesta ST (2012 - 2017) boot space, practicality and safety
In order to gain its five-star Euro NCAP rating, Ford Fiesta ST safety levels are incredibly high and there are all sorts of electronic wizardry installed to keep occupants safe.
The aforementioned traction and stability control system works incredibly well, and there’s also ‘torque vectoring’, which pulls the car around during fast cornering to keep it going in the direction intended.
It won’t surprise you to learn that Ford Fiesta ST practicality is much the same as the car it’s based on – the recently face-lifted Fiesta.
You get Ford’s Easyfuel system, which stops you putting diesel in your ST and damaging the engine and keyless start is an optional extra – though it’s standard on ST2 trim.
The boot’s an acceptable size compared to the competition as well, but it’s worth noting the lip is fairly high for lifting heavy objects into it.
Ford won’t be offering a five-door ST in the UK, either.
