Overview

Honda is not a name that’s usually associated with executive cars, the big German three of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz dominate this market. All three also have a suitably premium image – something which Honda can’t quite match. The Legend is its attempt to muscle in on the established makes and it has plenty going for it. It’s loaded with innovative technology, comes generously equipped and is good to drive too.

But it falls down in key areas – rear legroom is cramped but most importantly, there’s no diesel engine available and the 3.5-litre petrol engine is very thirsty. However it is one of the most advanced cars in its class while limited numbers mean it will remain a rare sight on the road.
