Lexus GS F (2015 - 2018) boot space, practicality and safety
The Lexus GS range hasn’t been tested by Euro NCAP but this top spec, no-box-unticked version comes with a lot of safety kit.
As well as ten airbags, you get the Lexus Safety System which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive high-beam headlights and a pre-crash system all as standard.
A large 520-litre boot is easily accessed thanks to a wide aperture which looks like it has been tailored for long golf bags. The lid opens and closes automatically too, although the button is a little hard to locate, awkwardly sited at the top right of the numberplate plinth
Inside there is a big box under your left arm and a double cup-holder in front of the gearshift that also doubles up as a place to stash a smartphone. This is hidden away by a carbon fibre-look lid when not in use.
The door pockets in the front offer a fair amount of space but rear passengers don’t fare as well. There is a central armrest with a small storage space though, plus bags on head and leg room all around.
