Think Volkswagen Golf with a saloon boot and you’ll arrive at the Volkswagen Bora. That’s no bad thing as the VW Golf is a very popular model with some great strengths that the Bora inherits.
Mainstream saloons, however, don’t tend to sell well in the UK as executive drivers tend to prefer premium versions such as the BMW 3 Series or Audi A4, but the VW Bora does have much to recommend itself.
It was well built and good to drive just like its hatchback sibling. The interior was solid, there is a good amount of space for five passengers and the boot is a decent size that matched many of its rivals such as the Ford Focus.
